Airbnb, creators of the wildly popular house rental website, are at it again, this time offering four people a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to win a stay on a floating home on Australia’s Great Barrier Reef.
One of the seven natural wonders of the world, the lucky winners will stay on the luxury floating apartment surrounded by a plethora of wildlife that inhabits the coral – tropical fish, sharks, rays, whales, dolphins, jellyfish to name but a few.
Accessible via a short ocean swim is a sandy cay where Neil Perry, one of Australia’s premier chefs, will cook a slap up lunch using the best of North Queensland produce. In the afternoon, the host Pascal and renowned marine biologist, will take you on a dive to witness the beauty and fragility of the coral reef for yourself.
With the reef showing signs of human damage, understanding and protecting it is vitally important to its survival. Airbnb have pledged to plant wetland vegetation for every guest who stays in the region during 2016.
To enter, click here and tell Airbnb why you belong to the Great Barrier Reef. And if you are worried about flights. Don’t be. They’re included in the prize. Good luck.
