Just when you think you’ve seen everything, National Geographic reports on a one-eyed goat born recently in India.

According to NatGeo, the goat has a condition called Cyclopia—where the orbits of the eyes fail to properly divide into two cavities.

While it’s extremely rare, this condition can occur with human births.

Sadly, both animals and humans with this birth defect rarely live into adulthood. Veterinarians in the area predict such a severe cases like the goat recently born in India will last only a matter of days.

The goat’s owner, Mukhuri Das believes the goat will bring good luck to his home for whatever amount of time mother nature will keep him around.
