This is the largest glacier collapse ever recorded in history and it’s mind blowing

You may remember this video when Adam LeWinter and Jeff Orlowski filmed the breakup at the Ilulissat Glacier in Greenland.

To date, it’s still the largest glacier calving ever recorded.

The pair camped out in safe spot looking down over the glacier, from which they waiting for many days before the colossal event. The ice, of which only 400 feet of the total 3,000 feet towers up above the water, took 75 minutes to retreat a full mile across a calving face of three miles wide.
