A couple of weeks ago the Greenpeace ship set sail to the Arctic carrying 8 million messages from people around the glove calling for governments to halt destructive fishing and oil drilling. The Arctic and its wildlife are under severe threat, particularly from corporate greed.

Using the voices of the 8 million, Einaudi has composed Elegy for the Arctic and performed the poignant piece for the first time from a floating platform with the backdrop of a towering Wahlenbergbreen glacier.
