Fans of Harry Potter now have even more ways of being transported to the wizarding world of Hogwarts. In the same month two new ‘Harry Potter themed’ restaurants have opened on opposite sides of the world, which will add to the already existing establishments in Tornoto and Islamabad.
Platform 1094 in Singapore serves up a few novelty dishes such as toxic coloured cocktails in test tubes, a completely black panna cotta and a bright pink beetroot soup in a cauldron. Dressing up is encouraged, but if you only have muggle clothes, the staff will happily supply you with some props. The interior is definitely in keeping with the theme, including long wooden tables, chandeliers and chairs decorated with stags.
The Brooklyn version offers many healthy delights, including ‘Magical Meatballs’ and a ‘Dragon’s Blood’ smoothie, on a menu that’s all organic, with plenty of vegan and gluten free options. The interior is decorated like a mini version of the Great Hall at Hogwarts, with candles, banquet tables and a brick floor. The really magical thing is that the owners promise all pasta dishes will arrive on your table within 3 to 5 minutes of ordering.
